Summary: Evie O'Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City--and she is pos-i-toot-ly thrilled. New York is the city of speakeasies, shopping, and movie palaces! Soon enough, Evie is running with glamorous Ziegfield girls and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is Evie has to live with her Uncle Will, curator of The Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult--also known as "The Museum of the Creepy Crawlies."
When a rash of occult-based murders comes to light, Evie and her uncle are right in the thick of the investigation. And through it all, Evie has a secret: a mysterious power that could help catch the killer--if he doesn't catch her first.
My thoughts: This looks like an interesting, historic murder-mystery with a touch of paranormal. The Museum of Creepy Crawlies reminds of The New York Circulating Material Repository in The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman. We will see if it is different or the same...

Free in the jungle, Pia meets Eio, a boy from a nearby village. Together, they embark on a race against time to discover the truth about Pia’s origin—a truth with deadly consequences that will change their lives forever.
My thoughts: I read the first three chapters and was instantly hooked! So I am excited to finish reading it :)

My thoughts: A young, girl assassin- sounds familiar? I wonder if this book will be like Grave Mercy? I don't know but I have heard many people talking about this one.

Summary: Seventeen-year-old Nero is stuck in the wilderness with a bunch of other juvenile delinquents on an "Inward Trek." As if that weren’t bad enough, his counselors have turned into flesh-eating maniacs overnight and are now chowing down on his fellow miscreants. As in any classic monster flick worth its salted popcorn, plentiful carnage sends survivors rabbiting into the woods while the mindless horde of "infects" shambles, moans, and drools behind. Of course, these kids have seen zombie movies. They generate "Zombie Rules" almost as quickly as cheeky remarks, but attitude alone can’t keep the biters back. Serving up a cast of irreverent, slightly twisted characters, an unexpected villain, and an ending you won’t see coming, here is a savvy tale that that’s a delight to read — whether you’re a rabid zombie fan or freshly bitten — and an incisive commentary on the evil that lurks within each of us.
My Thoughts: I don't usually do zombie books... but this one seems interesting and funny to me. I just got Undead by Kirsty McKay, and it is also about zombies and snow... so we will see if I like zombie books after i read Undead. and maybe then I will look at The Infects.

Summary: The Congo is a dangerous place, even for people who are trying to do good. When one girl has to follow her mother to her sanctuary for bonobos, she's not trilled to be there. It's her mother's passion and she'd rather have nothing to do with it. But when revolution breaks out an their sanctuary is attacked, she must rescue the bonobos and hide in the jungle. Together, they will fight to keep safe, to eat, and to survive.
My thoughts: I am interested in the what will happen to the girl's and bonobos' relationship- there are not that many books out there for young adult that deal with animal and people relationships/connections. The cover for this book is the top right.
So this is my Waiting on Wednesday, and there are so many books coming out in 2012/2013, that I could not choose...haha. Leave me links to your WoW, and I will come and visit. :)
